Part Time Telefunding Representatives

The Telefunding Department is currently looking for self-motivated individuals with fundraising experience to join our Annual Fundraising Campaign. 20 hours per week with evening shifts 5:30pm to 9:00pm. $8.50/hr plus commission, cash bonus and show comps. IT Systems

Information Systems Manager

The Information Systems Manager will also assists with providing desktop and network support as needed. This position is responsible for managing the Tessitura CRM application, T-Stats, NScan ticket scanners, data analysis, report development, documentation, Tessitura training including integrated applications to staff members and the coordination and implementation of software upgrades. The IS Manager will also supervise IT & Database Assistant and, when necessary, assist him/her with providing desktop and network support.

Essential Job Functions:

Tessitura Database Administration

  • Data Maintenance
    • Maintain systems tables
    • Proactively maintain data integrity by creating data entry standards and monitoring data auditing reports
    • Create and run custom SQL scripts to support data maintenance automation and cleanup
    • Maintain TNEW configuration in system tables, including but not limited to site controls, validation points, etc.
  • System Maintenance
    • Manage the timeline, testing and implementation of system upgrades
    • Maintain Tessitura security groups and users
    • Schedule live to test copies as needed
  • Reporting and Data Analysis
    • Advise departments on reporting needs
    • Develop custom reports to support Marketing, Box Office, Telesales, Education and Finance departments
    • Answer questions from staff to support their analysis of data using reports, T-Stats and extractions
  • Documentation
    • Maintain system documentation for managers and users
    • Maintain system documentation for administrators
  • Training
    • Manage the training and certification of managers
    • Informally act as a help desk to answer ongoing questions and troubleshoot new issues
    • Train users on using list-serves, knowledgebase, and other support resources
  • System utilization, conversions and integrations
    • Proactively monitor how other Tessitura licensees are using the system and how we might improve our usage or configuration
    • Analyze business processes and provide solutions; recommend improvements to business processes and technology that will improve efficiency and standardize business operations
    • Support integration vendors as needed by adjusting configurations both in the system and in supporting files on Tessitura related servers
  • Transcend Credit Card Server
    • Maintain privilege groups and users
    • Manage the training of Managers
    • Support organizational PCI compliance

Network Administration and Security

  • Maintain a stable and secure network infrastructure
  • Procure, install, configure, maintain and administer servers, routers, switches, firewalls and other network assets as needed
  • Manage organizational email systems and accounts
  • Maintain an ongoing network backup and restore system to assure data availability and recoverability
  • Manage an effective organization-wide antivirus strategy
  • PCI Compliance

Desktop and Network Support

  • Provide backup support to the Network Administrator with desktop support and network troubleshooting as needed
  • Contribute to IT technology planning and strategy
  • Maintain and support Boca ticket printers, ticket scanners, and other Tessitura interface hardware

Budgeting and Planning

  • Manage IT related budgets including planning, maintaining and forecasting expenses
  • Consult with senior staff and various teams within the organization to provide a technology perspective for planning and impact analysis

Education and Experience:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years Tessitura Administration experience utilizing all aspects of the Tessitura Software or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired (experience working in Tessitura required)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into terms non-technical staff can comprehend
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ years' experience with SQL server, stored procedures and QUERY writing
  • Experience with general desktop support and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with SSRS and/or InfoMaker
  • Ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends
  • Experienced with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and other office programs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2003 - 2010
  • Experience administering a Microsoft Windows based network supporting 50+ users
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and timelines

Box Office

Box Office Representative

The Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse is looking for Box Office Representatives to join our team.

Under the supervision of the Box Office Manager, the Box Office Representatives will provide excellent customer service to patrons of La Jolla Playhouse and UCSD. Reps are responsible for selling and processing ticket orders for shows/events and resolving patron complaints within the scope of their responsibility; otherwise referring the patron to the Box Office Lead or Box Office Manager. Reps will also assist patrons with questions and provide detail and information regarding our theaters.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Using Tessitura software, assist in per series seating selection process for subscribers
  • Coordinate and ensure accurate processing of Patrons’ performance ticket mailings and will call pick up
  • Act as phone representative in taking inbound calls from Playhouse and UCSD patrons
  • Process single ticket orders and subscriptions using Tessitura ticketing system including subscriber ticket exchanges, season ticket renewals and donations
  • Maintain and update subscriber/patron database
  • Assist in collection efforts for outstanding balances due and balance daily receipts
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Box Office Manager

Education & Experience:

  • Previous professional box office experience and/or ticket office sales
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule: afternoon, evening and weekend hours, including some holidays
  • Experience using a Multi-line phone
  • Computer literacy
  • Professional demeanor to deliver superior high end customer service
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Familiar with ticketing software and/or high computer aptitude Tessitura experience highly desirable
  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task
  • Cash handling and credit card transaction processing experience (required/preferred)
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reps will average 20 - 30 hours/week and requires a flexible schedule: afternoon, evening and weekend hours, including some holidays. $10.00 per hour.
